Waddap FOOD LOVERS!!!! Last week my besties called me out for an outing a day before, so I thought of bring them to Petit Mary to try their food, since I heard many great comments about the food and one of my friend wanted to try it out too. AND YES THE FOOD IS REALLY AWESOME, that's why I wanted to share it with you guys! The first impression I had when I reached the destination was "OMG THIS PLACE LOOKS SO ADORABLE" plus the whole building and the interior is in Tiffany Blue, my favourite colour!! Ipoh's most beautiful pastry house with a European flair around Aeon Kinta City Ipoh. I'm already feeling so excited even when I'm writing this blog LOL


Does it looks like a doll house to you?! A very unique exterior that has a European theme to it.. Very eye catching from a distance


Now this is Petit Mary aka Little Mary, and that is how the cafe is named after her. The interior has cute drawings of her as well. Scroll down and you'll noticed them in the pictures.



It was a busy day when we visited this place.. It was packed.. So this is the counter, many different varieties of cakes displayed on the counter top and at the shelf at the side as well..


This is like heaven for CAKE LOVERS!!! Drooling yet?! There's more... Keep on scrolling!


And yes they've got macaroons as well..


Hey they don't just have cakes like other cafes.. They do have buns and pastries as well! You can come here to purchase their buns, freshly baked everyday! I was shocked when I came in to see this...

OK now the food review!!!!



We had this Rainbow Cake for FREE!!! Thanks to my friend, the owner gave her a free slice of cake, because her name is also Mary.. hhahaha lucky day indeed to have her! Joys and Laughter.. I must say of all different types of Rainbow Cakes I've tried in different cafes, this is the boom! The cake is much more denser and actually you can really taste the different flavours from all different layers of colours. Normally in other cafes it taste like a normal sponge cake and has no taste in it. But this definitely surprised me!



If you like an Asian twist to your pasta, try the Teriyaki Chicken Linguine. My girlfriend had this and she loves it! It has a beautiful smoky aroma of the chicken with the teriyaki sauce. Not too sweet and does not overpower the dish. A great choice! This cost about RM17.90. It's actually a big portion, the bowl just looks big.



All Day Breakfast, served with baked beans, moist juicy bacon, sausage, hash browns, fluffy scramble eggs, mash potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and also comes with 2 buns and a cup of coffee or tea. A very big portion indeed fit for a king. You can always come here for their breakfast at anytime of the day. This cost RM18.



I ordered their Penne Pasta with Smoke Salmon and Ham. My friends said this was the best of all three. The smoked salmon is cooked just right, moist and flaky, together with the ham and mushrooms it gives another amazing flavour that brings out the whole dish and it's cooked with carbonara sauce. And this also cost RM17.90. 

I promised myself that I'll come back again to try more of their dishes since it's so delicious. AND YES I DID! So this is what I ordered with my friend.


They recommended us the Mary Style Chicken Burger served with Tortilla chips covered with cheese and mayo. A very nice start. And the burger, cooked beautifully with a homemade BBQ sauce and bun. The bun was literally pink in colour. The chicken, grilled making it juicy and tender. Cost at RM17.90



The best of all, their Lamb Lasagna. Love their sauce, thick tomato sauce cooked with Bell Peppers to give a kick to it. Nicely cooked pasta sheet and minced lamb, not mushy, and the mozzarella cheese is so tempting! This dish really made my day! Cost RM17.90. This is like a comfort food, was so speechless when I had a bite, and all I want to do is dive in and lick up the bowl. HEHEHE

MY THOUGHTS

I really love the food, everything is so good and I really recommend this to everyone, although it's a little pricey but it's worth it! I promise you that so far every dish they had taste amazing! And I can't wait to try more of their food! ARGHHHH IT'S JUST SO GOOD!!! Thinking about it makes me drool >.<

The Happy 8 Retreat | Cafe & Hotel | Ipoh

Bonjour! Hello fellow readers, a couple of days ago I found this cafe which is so different compared to other cafes, so why not pay a visit and try out something different. This cafe has a forest themed to it, bring a relax and cozy feeling. Since the weather is quite sunny and hot, this cafe can be a place for a hideout. It took me sometime to find this place and it is cluttered with plants everywhere. So this will be the entrance.
