Hello everyone it's been a month since i updated my blog. Todays' blogpost will be about a place that I've celebrated my 21st birthday dinner with my love one, and its POTPOURRI HOUSE CAFE. A place to enjoy desserts and Fine Dining.

A nice place to have lunch or dinner with your special someone. A place for a candlelight dinner perhaps <3. It's a romantic place to be. And my first expensive meal I had for myself, but then it is so worth it, the taste, the environment, I feel very satisfied =D and so I want to share this with you, so that you can have a try with your special one. Its' ok to go there once a while during special occasions you know, make things a little special and spicy between you guys hahaha.





The front of the cafe, where they had these sort of bicycle with flower details on them. When I first saw this, I can't wait to see more on what's inside this cafe =D and hey it's PORK FREE, anyone can come try their food!


So this is how it actually looks inside. Sorry I didn't take a picture for my own cause they were having a decoration with a Christmas Theme. So yeah... I took this picture from somewhere else.. Forgive me.. And so the theme of this cafe, from my opinion it is inspired with an English Vintage Theme. Everything is white with a little hint of floral makes it looks so romantic and clean. And yes there's a grand piano at the corner of the cafe and yet makes the environment looks elegant.. makes me wanna play with it or take a picture of me playing it LOL. But too bad they were decorating, and so I shall come again soon to take pictures of this place. By the way the piano is not just for display, but the owner's son plays them for us to hear too <3 


BAMMM.. Now this is a Menu! Love the details on the cover, and it's kinda heavy. It's something like the wedding photo album I could say. They also have a number of varieties of food and desserts. A la carte or set lunch and dinner are available.

And now the food!!!
I ordered RIVER LOBSTER and it's AMAZINGLY GOOD, the plate is really big. You know like normally lobsters are blend to the palette. But this dish brought out the flavour. It's a Grilled lobster and scallop with Capsicum aka. bell-peppers sauce served with, mashed potato, cauliflower  and spaghetti stir-fried with shiitake mushrooms. They used a Chinese method to cook this I believed. This dish is actually for Christmas but I get to order them specially <3. This is TRULLY AMAZING. LOVE THIS DISH!! But then this is a pricy dish, it costs RM120 in a set. But during the Christmas season it will be in a set dinner menu where it costs RM138 nett, served with Roasted turkey slice with salad as the appertizer. Soup will be Seafood Chowder. Dessert will be Brownies With Vanilla Ice-cream. And also a glass of Red Wine (BARON de CRISTO ROUGE, FRANCE). THIS DISH IS  ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY THE CHEF MASTER HENRY.


This will be their Menu for the Christmas Season.






Second dish that we ordered is a Grilled Chicken served with a salad, mashed potato and a carrot puree at the side. The marinate for the chicken, they used Lea & Perrins sauce =D haha I knew what's in the marinating sauce. The price for this set is RM50. 

What's in the set?!


You can either choose between Pumpkin Soup or a Mushroom Soup. But the soup for that day was Mushroom Soup. Different from the ones outside, where this they made this from scratch. Different types of mushroom with Minced Chicken in it. Good flavours and you don't need to add any white or black pepper in it. The consistency is not to thick, and it's just right. 

For Dessert


Brownie with Vanilla Ice-cream, and crushed roasted peanuts on the top. It is so comforting when i had this. Just like home. <3 A hot and warm brownie with an ice-cream, a great combination where the ice-cream melts. Something hot and cold =D


Baked Cheesecake and for the topping, if I'm not mistaken they used Emmental cheese. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sounds weird but it totally works. The Emmental gives a little saltiness to the cheese cake, so it wouldn't taste blend or normal. The taste of it gives a little pop in your mouth =D For those Cheesecake lovers, you can come and give this a try! Something different perhaps.


This is where you can have your dinner outside as well, if it's not raining LOL. 

Besides that, they also provide a wedding ceremony outside at their garden. Next to their cafe, there's a wedding planner called Adonis Bridal named after the mythological Greek God of beauty and desire. So those who planned to have a visit at Adonis Bridal for their wedding ceremony to be planned, they could just visit the cafe as well to have lunch or dinner. They don't just provide a wedding ceremony but also a Birthday Party as well.

For the upcoming celebration at Potpourri will be a Christmas Party. There will be a live band and free gifts will be given too. If you are planning to come give a visit on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day itself, please do make a reservation.

Waddap FOOD LOVERS !!!! Last week my besties called me out for an outing a day before, so I thought of bring them to Petit Mary to try their food, since I heard many great comments about the food and one of my friend wanted to try it out too. Mosel Western & Fusion Cuisine | Kampar

Hello guys... since I'm studying in Kampar , I came across to a new restaurant that has just opened not long ago and I was wanting to try it out. So today my friends called me out to have dinner with them and they wanted to try this place out as well. There is nothing fancy about the environment of this place, we can't expect much because we're in Kampar. But you won't believe that the food they serve has almost the same standard with Ipoh. In Kampar, i bet there is no any other western food restaurants that serve food with quality like this. They also serve a lot of dishes that you cannot find it around Kampar town!
